Paris Gare du Nord is the busiest railway station of the capital city of France. Every year more than 90 million travellers transit through Paris Gare du Nord. The station is the last stop of the Eurostar from London, and the Thalys from Brussels. Travellers take those international high speed trains (Eurostar and Thalys) to reach other main cities as well; Lille, Amsterdam or Cologne.

The Paris Gare du Nord is also an important hub for locals. Two of the most important lines of the wide Paris suburb transit through Paris Gare du Nord. The Line B of the RER goes up to Paris Charles de Gaulle airport. The Paris Gare du Nord has all the necessary facilities and services of a major railway station such as ticket vending machines, railway staff, waiting zones, coffee shops, money exchange and phone cabins. Not far from Paris Gare du Nord is found the Paris Gare de l’Est, another main railway station in Paris. The Paris Gare du Nord is also connected to the Paris Metro system, line 4 and 5.

Transportation and connections

Local trains & subway: Metro Lines 2, 4 and 5 operate from Gare du Nord station.

Buses: A number of Paris city bus lines (26, 43, and 65) nearby serve the Gare du Nord.

Taxis: Cabs from western side of the station, just beyond the doorway by the Eurostar trains.

Airport: RER (Regional Express Railway) Line B train connect to the Charles de Gaulle airport. There is a train every 15 minutes. Please be advised that if you have many luggages, it’s probably better to take another means of transport. Due to affluence, service on the RER B can experienced some delays, make sure to have this in mind so as not to miss your flight.
