Marseille Saint Charles is the main railway station of the city of Marseille, France second biggest city. The Marseille Saint Charles railway station is located on Square Narvik, in the heart of Marseille.
The railway station is the terminus of the Paris-Marseille route. Most regional trains to the Province region depart from Marseille Saint Charles railway station. Thanks to the high speed line, TGV now reaches Marseille Saint Charles in approximately 3 hours from Paris, the capital city of France. The railway station is served by the Saint Charles Metro.
One striking fact about the railway station is that is found on top of a small hill. To access the railway station, there is a monumental set of stairs, which can be quite impressive. But of course there are lifts which are quite useful when accompanied with children, for elderly persons and for disabled persons.
